My name is Leó Lőrincz, Senior Advisor of the State Secretariat for Public Employment and Water Management at the Ministry of the Interior.
I have been working in the field of employment and labour market for over 35 years. Between 1987 and 1999, I worked at the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Labour Centre, between 1999 and 2010 at the National Labour Centre, in the Employment Authority, from 2010 at the Ministry of National Economy and from the 1st of July 2011 at the Ministry of Interior in the State Secretariat for Public Employment and Water Management. My main tasks in recent years have included the development of professional methodological materials for employees in county level authorities, preparation of legislation and government proposals in the field of employment-related job-seeking benefits, employment subsidies for employers, labour market services for disadvantaged job-seekers. My professional career has encompassed the entire system of employment policy. I try to integrate my international experiences (Austria, Germany, Belgium, France, Norway, and Finland) into the Hungarian system of measures promoting employment and reducing unemployment by drafting and introducing new methods, techniques, special, complex labour market, social and health programs. The development of the new system of public employment, its introduction, its operation and further development, the preparation and definition of strategies and goals as well as delivering presentations at conferences held for leaders of local governments constitute my main tasks today.
